HOW TO INSTALL RED HAT ENTERPRISE LINUX 5

Firstly you will need a redhat 5 linux iso file that you can download from its website

You need a software to make it bootable. This software is free, it is named rufus. You can download it from here. Download Rufus

First of all, you have to make a bootable pen drive in laptop or desktop and start the laptop or desktop. In the boot option, select the pen drive and press Enter then there will be something like this

Now you have to press Enter to install in graphical mode. You will now have CD Found in front of you in which it will ask you for testing if you are booting from pen drive then select skip and hit enter.

Now select the language here and click on Next

Here you can select the language of the keyboard and click on Next

Now here you will ask for an installation number if you have bought a number from Red Hat Company, you can put it here or else skip entering option number and select OK

And then click on skip

Now the warning page will open here, click the yes button here.

Now you have to select the Create custom layout here and click on the Next button

You will now have to open the page of the hard drive. Here you will have to create different partitions such as / boot, /, swap, they must be given in the size of the MB, the swap has to be given according to RAM.
Just like your laptop or desktop ram is 4gb then swap will also be given 4000 MB size as you can see in the image below / dev / sda2 / ext3 and click on Next button.

Now click on Next button without doing anything here.

Right now here on the Network Devices, select the three networks and click the Next button.

Here you select your time zone and click on the Next button

Enter the root password here and click on Next

Here, if you want to customize something then select customize now and click Next button if you do not want to, then customize it and select Next and click Next.

Here you will click on Next, redhat will be installed

Now you have to click on the reboot when the pen drive must be removed when it is rebooting

It's starting now

After getting started, you will see Welcome Page. Click on the Forward button in this Welcome Page

Select the Yes, I agree to the License Agreement on the license agreement and click the Forward button.

Here the firewall page will be opened. Here you can enable or disable the firewall, click the Forward button.

Selinux page will be open for you to forward

On the Kdump page, if you want to enable kdump, click on the Forward button.

Here the date and time of the page will be open, you can change the time and date here, or you enable the network time protocol. It will automatically take the time, then click the Forward button.

Now the setup software update page will be open here, select no, i prefer to register at a later time.  here and click the Forward button

One page will be open here, according to the image given below, click on no t hanks.i’ll connect later and then click on the Forward Button

Create user's page will open, if you want to create another user here, if not want to click on the Forward button


Now click on Continuum here

Here the sound card page will open, you can do sound test and then click the Forward button

Additional CDs page will open Now click Finish here

Now if you ask for username and password here, you have to give us a username first and press Enter again, according to the image given below.

Red Hat Linux will be open as per this image
